Since 1997 when Bruce Jones, Coronation Street's Les Battersby, adopted an animal many hundreds of generous people have followed suit bringing in much needed funds to the stables.
Bruce's visit and adoption was hot on the heels of other Correy stars, Sherrie Hewson, Charles Lawson and John St Ryan who had also adopted that year.
Bruce adopted Sefton, a 2 year old horse who had been left to rot alone and whose story was very sad. Once Olive Lomas stepped in to give him a home at the Sanctuary Sefton's future was secure and safe from harm and neglect.
Now 10 years on and this work is still not free; it all costs much money to provide feed, bedding, vets fees and medication and so on.
We need your help, like the stars of Correy can you donate or adopt an animal.

LONG, COLD AND LONELY WINTER NIGHTS
If you know of any horse or pony still living out in these dreadful winter conditions - possibly tethered or without access to unfrozen water or in need of supplementary feed - would you please be good enough to let us and the RSPCA know.
If the RSPCA then recommends that a few bales of hay and/or a New Zealand rug would help, then we would respond as quickly as possible.

WINTER APPEALS
Our most difficult period is through the winter months, November to April. The financial outgoings during these months are at their highest.
Regretfully and despite the amazing efforts of the staff and our contributors funds are often low at this time and without everyone's invaluable support we would be in danger of running out. Funds must be available for the following priority items on a daily and weekly basis; bags of feed, haylage, straw, cardboard shavings, Vet fees, Farrier fees, part-time wages and more.
To run Only Foals & Horses successfully we need to raise approximately £5000 per week to cover the cost of caring for all our equine friends.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
